We’ve been playing with scotch lately. “A Worn Path” is a scotch cocktail from Shaker & Spoon that’s perfect if you’re in need of a good strong drink after a hard day at work. The name’s fitting but more importantly, it’s a simple recipe you can make quickly so you can get to unwinding sooner rather than later. There’s just something really great about creating something homemade at the end of the day. And if you’re like me and don’t cook on a regular basis… mixing a delicious cocktail is the next best thing. So set your laptop bag on the floor, kick off those uncomfortable pumps, wipe off that lipstick and let the happy hour begin… in the comfort of your own home.

You’ll need just a few ingredients for this scotch cocktail:

• 1/2 oz strawberry cordial
• 3 dashes IPA tincture
• 2 oz scotch

“A Worn Path” is a cocktail that gets stirred and the served in a rocks glass. I got these vintage tumblers from an antique store and they make me feel  so pampered whenever I use them.

Here’s how you mix the drink:

• Pour all the ingredients into a dry mixing glass. Fill the glass with ice, and use a bar spoon to stir until the mixing glass feels ice cold (about 20 to 40 seconds).
• Strain into a rocks glass over fresh cubed ice.
