Is it just me or did May feel like forever and a half? So many things happened this month amongst my oldest friends and I just in the past couple of weeks. It was exciting, emotional and amazing all at the same time. And a little exhausting – not going to lie, a lot went on recently.

Unfortunately, earlier this week, my grandmother passed away. She was 93 and passed peacefully in her sleep, no illness or suffering – couldn’t ask for a better way to go for a loved one. We’re proud that she lived a long, healthy life with so many accomplishments. It’s still sad for my family and me but we’re getting through it.

After that happened… it was this mad rush of positive events in the days to come. May CRAY.

So all in this past week, my friend Sarah went to Beverly Hills to get her marriage license, my friend Marion went into labor FOUR hours after her maternity photo session and had a beautiful baby girl (Kayla), my friend Steph moved back to LA from Orange County, and Colin and I finally picked our wedding date and venue. ALL fabulous things. I couldn’t be more thankful for this timing.

Anyway, just wanted to take a moment to share and document all these wonderful milestones. It’s difficult for me to get out of the routine of just working all the time, pretty typical in agency life. So all this May Cray was really good for me – it forced me to invest time into my personal life and focus my attention on the people who are most important to me.

Hope you guys had an eventful month too. We’re done with this May Cray and I’m excited for Summer – cold seafood, fancy salads, all those awesome movies coming to the theater and the extra hours of daylight!
