Pom pom accessories, sassy panda throw pillows, super hero couture and unicorn dreams. Meet a few of the talented and fabulous gals from this year’s Designer Con.
Weekends are for collecting inspiration- this past weekend, I spent my Sunday at Designer Con (DCON) in Pasadena, CA. Designer Con is this magical 2-day convention consisting of over 70,000 square feet of booths filled with collectible toys, quirky apparel and enchanting artwork. I have so many photos to share but I can’t edit fast enough. So I thought I’d let you in on a little piece of the experience right away.
Here are some of the most inspiring, hustling, killer BABES in the field of crafting cuteness and badassery.
If I ever opened my own company, I’d like to have a Department of Unicorn Crafts. And Faheema Chaudhury would be in charge. As if unicorn toys and accessories were not enough, this girl welcomes you into her delightful space donning full Totoro regalia. If you contact her… she’ll custom make you that Totoro leaf hair accessory. What more do you need in life?
I guess a plate full of unicorn pins would be pretty awesome.
This Candyland Collection of rings seems pretty necessary as well.
Yeah, a herd of hand made unicorn plushes… Must. Have. SQUEAL.
Have you ever seen your favorite color palette… in person? That was Linda Panda for me. She’s what I’d like my house, desk and wedding linens to look like.
Her signature character design… this adorable little sassy panda of course. She knows how to smize in the name of Tyra Banks. Fierce.
Any chick who can rock an eye patch demands RESPECT. Obviously, I have love for her blue hair alone. Aside from her adorable look, the Girl With One Eye hand crafts adorable outfits with unique fabrics and prints, from superheroes to Hello Kitty.
Wish I had this skirt for Hello Kitty Con. Photos from that convention coming soon as well! Geek Chic never looked so good.
I love accessories and I love dessert. So when someone like Messy Pink puts them together, it just makes me happy.
Hope you enjoyed all that sparkle from these inspiring artists. That was just a tidbit. I have way more to show you on DCON so stay tuned <3
