New Year’s Resolution

I can’t believe we’re already a week into 2015. 2014 was a very hectic year work-wise. My team saw coworkers come and go, added new responsibilities to our plates, took on projects outside our comfort zone and reluctantly prepared for our Account Director’s 2-month maternity leave. We were busy, to say the least.

I think it comes naturally, with agency life, to just grind away- to quickly accumulate an endless workload and never have that satisfaction of ever feeling finished. Creating work-life balance is something that takes constant effort. And it’s a habit I’d like to develop for myself throughout 2015.

IMG_0006My New Year’s Resolution is a very simple one: 2015 is the year I’m going to do more of the things that make me happy. This means…

EXPLORING LOS ANGELES…whenever possible.

After 13 years living in Orange County, I finally moved back to the City of Angels. I forgot how much I absolutely love the art, fashion, graffiti and food of LA.  So here’s to more shopping on Melrose, regular visits to MOCA and LACMA, designer toy hauls from Toy Art Gallery and plenty of dinners at new restaurants.

PLAYTIME… with loved ones.

Last year, I was so occupied with work, I was late on almost every birthday wish to friends and family… such a terrible feeling. This year, I’d love to spend more time outside the office. In the sun. Especially with the people who mean the most to me- my niece and nephews, cousins, friends and boyfriend.

LONG BRUNCHES… galore.

I cannot tell you how rejuvenating it is to sleep in on Sunday, and then spend a good portion of the day eating. Monday’s should never come unless this occurs. My 2015 diet will consist primarily of smoked salmon eggs benny, French press coffee and macarons. Don’t judge if you see me at Bottega Louie or Blu Jam Cafe or BLD… stuffing my face. Processed with VSCOcam with c1 preset
