It's been nonstop lately. I was sick with a perpetual cough for 2 weeks, but of course life didn't stop then, nor did it slow down as I got better - I had coworkers visiting from out of town, client meetings, a program manager leaving, a new girl starting, a doggy birthday for a friend, ...

Sandwiched between tiny stores that are packed with bolts of fabric, you'll find this gallery tucked away upstairs at 939 Maple Ave. It's tough to find your first time, but definitely worth the ...
Fave Healthy Office Snacks
I've been ordering healthy office snacks for my coworkers over the past several months. I pick something different each week and get it delivered to the office through Amazon Fresh. It's a quick, easy, low-maintenance way to incorporate something positive into the daily grind. You can see the post I wrote on our first month's shopping list ...
All Natural Homemade Dog Treats
My favorite times in the office are when my coworkers bring their dogs in. It's always a nice surprise to be able to hold a little pup in your arms after a long meeting. I've been making these all natural homemade dog treats, which I debuted at our office Christmas party last year, and they've been ...
My cousin Tiffany came over the other day and I realized how much I loved having a Girls Night. This really needs to be a regular thing. I’m an only child so my cousins are super important to me. Tiffany’s become like a sister. We’re 5 years apart and we’ve always spent time together ever since we were little. I remember introducing her to the sacred flat iron, making her corsage for prom and driving her to Winter formal. Tiffany grew up to be this super cool, independent, easy going, incredibly generous and caring girl… I feel like she can do anything. I remember a time when I was freaking out because I had a client at work who did not like any of the photography we used on the collateral we created for them. I basically needed a model to help me reshoot all of their products, literally the next day. Tiff drove down to Temecula from Los Angeles to help model for me- no questions asked. And the client loved her. She’s just that type of girl.
Tiffany and I especially bonded a few years ago when we took a road trip to Vegas together for a bachelorette party. We had four hours in the car, there and back, to talk about everything – our family, jobs, boys, you name it.
We used to live over an hour away from each other, so having dinner or drinks after work was never an option. But ever since I moved back to LA county, we live just a few minutes away, so there’s absolutely no excuse to not get together on a regular basis.
I’m not a big fan of going out to bars, but I do enjoy having a beautiful cocktail at home. So I cracked open my Gin Lovers Shaker & Spoon box and we made cocktails together. My favorite times with my family are when we make things together. I had 3 unread issues of Vogue I needed to catch up on, so we cozied up and flipped through the magazines with our cocktails, looking for pretty things. We talked a ton about what I had in mind for my wedding, how Colin proposed, boys in general and some hilarious stories about her experiences with Tinder. The cocktail we made together is called the Juliet & Romeo. This was one of 3 cocktail recipes from the Gin Lovers Shaker & Spoon box… and it was such a perfect GALentine drink. It was light, citrusy, and you have to love the name.
Here’s what you need:
- 2 cucumber slices
- 3/4 oz simple syrup
- 3-4 grains course salt
- 3/4 oz lime juice
- 6 dashes rose water
- 5 dashes pure spearmint extract
- 2 oz gin
The Juliet and Romeo is a cocktail that gets muddled and shaken. I love muddling fresh ingredients – it makes the drink so much more fragrant.
Here’s how you mix the cocktail:
- Add the cucumber, syrup and salt to a shaker and use a muddler to gently press them into the bottom. Push firmly 2-3 times.
- Add the gin, lime juice, rose water and spearmint extract. Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously for 6 seconds.
- Strain the contents of the shaker into a chilled coupe without ice. No garnish needed.
Girls Night is definitely something I’m looking forward to having more often. When it gets super busy at work, it’s easy to forget to set aside time to spend with your girls. I love nights like these where it’s fun, but easy. We can just hang out at my house with our little box of Shaker & Spoon cocktail supplies and RELAX. Can’t wait to do this again.
Well tomorrow’s Valentines Day. I hope you all have a super special day with your Valentine or Galentine. If you guys need some more cocktail ideas, check out the Goji Southside recipe here or the Gin Flower recipe here.

How perfect are these conversation heart charms from Killer Sprinkles? I think these are so sweet to give to your team or fave coworkers on Valentines day. They’re inexpensive but super thoughtful, and I love the cheeky little sayings on them… HELL NO.. NAPS… NETFLIX… TREAT YO SELF. What girl can’t relate to these?
My talented friend Ashling started Killer Sprinkles a year ago this month. She hand makes these itty bitty jewelry pieces out of clay that resemble her favorite foods and desserts. I love that she found this outlet for her creativity. It’s so important to have something fun to turn to outside of work – that’s exactly why I started this blog. Since it’s debut, Killer Sprinkles has been featured on Buzzfeed and gained popularity on Instagram. I’m so excited to see this baby grow.
In celebration of Killer Sprinkles’ birthday, Ash is inviting Agency Addicts readers to the party with 10% off for the entire month of February. Use Promo Code: HAPPYBIRTHDAY.
These conversation hearts are fabulous, especially if you’re buying several gifts at once for your team; but I also love some of the new items in the store like this lollipop charm and this conversation heart bracelet. Cute right? So show some love and pick up a handmade gift for a special girlfriend or coworker this Valentines day. <3
I’ve been on cloud 9 since I got engaged. I’m excited, and also a little scared, at the thought of wedding planning. So far, we’re thinking the wedding will be sometime in the Spring of 2017, which gives me over a year to plan. I’d like to think I’m going to diet and work out in beast mode, but we’ll see. I’ve been daydreaming about what I’m going to wear, what I want my colors are going to be, what quirky venues I’d like to check out, etc, etc. You can check out my Wedding board on Pinterest here. I have a whirlwind of ideas running through my head, but when it comes to how I want to look on my wedding day, 60s style seems to be a recurring theme. I am so inspired by the 60s… thick eyeliner, dramatic lashes, flowy dresses, gem tones, and best of all, the BIG 60s hair. YUM.
Have you guys watched Season 7 of Mad Men? When I first started getting into Mad Men, I really liked that 50s Betty Draper look with the structured hair and sweet little pinup dresses… but I was in LOVE at the women’s style in the final season, when the show was set in the 60s. The hair and makeup was amazing.
I’ve come to the conclusion that I need big 60s hair for my wedding day.
If you guys have any tips on hair products, styling tools, extensions, anything to achieve these Big 60s hair looks, please share!
Happy Monday! I’ve been waiting patiently for new episodes of The Mindy Project. Do you guys watch The Mindy Project? If not, I highly suggest you start this addiction on Hulu ASAP. Mindy Lahiri, played by Mindy Kaling, is one of my favorite television characters of all time. I love that she’s great at her job, has kickass style and a color bomb of a wardrobe, and eats drumstick ice cream cones while waiting for the elevator.
I want every single piece of clothing she’s ever worn on the show.
I want to live in her apartment (her own apartment, not the man pad she shares with Danny).
And I want to work in her beautiful fertility clinic office.
But what I love most about TV career girl Mindy Lahiri, is her glittery sense of humor. Every now and then, when I’m not feeling so great at work… whether it’s just being in a blah mood OR when I sense a fit of fiery rage coming on (yes, happens more often than I’d like to admit), I know it’s time to channel my inner Mindy.
Meaning… put on an awesome outfit, spruce up my workspace, take a moment to recognize my fabulousness, eat a donut and laugh off whatever it is that’s keeping me from doing what I need to do. It’s just so much more productive being positive. And confident.Just a little thought to get you through your Monday. So remember, before you go ballistic over that eighteenth round of headlines that’s just not right from your copywriter, or flip your desk over that complete change in direction from the client minutes before a gigantic print run, or get ready to throw your coffee at that newbie production artist who didn’t fix half the changes you marked up… channel your inner Mindy. #mindymotivation
